Terms & Conditions
In the following sections, we will often refer to ourselves at Ortica as “we”, “us”, or “our” so that all this legal jargon is a little easier to read.
Returns & Exchanges:
If there is a problem with your order, we'll always be here to help! The first step you should take is to contact us at shop@orticaboutique.com and we’ll respond to you as fast as possible.
As our items are made to order and are worn on delicate areas of the body, we cannot offer general returns or exchanges. However, in accordance with European consumer law, if an item arrives in unsatisfactory condition (damaged, faulty, or incorrect), the buyer has fourteen days to return the article, at their initial expense.
The return period begins the day the order has been received and MUST be previously communicated by email to shop@orticaboutique.com and accompanied by a photograph of the article and reason for the return. Once approved by us, we will provide you a return address and will request proof of shipping, using a trackable delivery method.
Returns will be applied without penalties and the buyer will be reimbursed for the order. However, the items must be sent back unworn and in original condition, with all the original packaging. Otherwise the items will not be eligible for reimbursement or exchange.

Our business is registered with the Italian Chamber of Commerce (Camera di Commercio) and our identification number is IT02562720462. Our registered office is situated at Via Barsanti e Matteucci 87, Lucca, Italy. The purchase of goods from the orticaboutique.com website implies that the buyer (you) accept, without reservation, all of the present sales conditions listed here. These sales conditions prevail over all other general or specific conditions not expressly agreed upon by us. We reserves the right to be able to modify these sales conditions at any time. However, rest assured the conditions applicable will always be those in effect on the time and date the order is placed.
Characteristics of the Proposed Products:
The Proposed Products are the items listed for sale on the orticaboutique.com website. Each article is accompanied by descriptions and photographs, that are as accurate as possible. However, as all the jewelry is made by hand, we cannot guarantee perfect likeness to the products presented. Every piece of jewelry for sale on our website is uniquely made to order, entirely from our workshop in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy.
Prices:
The prices indicated on the orticaboutique.com website are in Euros (EUR) and U.S. Dollars and include all relevant local taxes. They may or may not include shipping costs, however this expense will be clearly communicated prior to billing and listed in addition to the articles purchased on your invoice. As we are an Italian company, we cannot estimate or be responsible for any custom fees or import taxes that may apply outside of Italy.
While we do reserves the right to modify our prices at any time, we will never deviate from the price indicated at the time of purchase, when the order was placed by the buyer (you) and recorded.
Orders:
The information provided by the buyer (you) when placing an order will confirm that the buyer (you) has committed to the purchase.
In the event of an error in writing the recipient’s address, we will not be held responsible for the impossibility of being able to deliver the product. However, we will work with you as best we can to try and retrieve the lost item.
Orders will only be finalised after receiving confirmation by the buyer (you), which occurs only when the indicated price is paid.
Payments:
The buyer (you) will pay us via a third party extension built into our website. We currently offer several options, including PayPal and Shopify Payments (Stripe), who ensure safe and secure transactions by debit or credit card.
Intellectual Property:
All elements on the orticaboutique.com site are and remain the intellectual and exclusive property of the vendor (us). No person is authorised to reproduce, exploit, redefine, or use elements from the site for any reason, even partially.
Delivery & Processing
As all our products are handmade to order, we require 1-3 business days to process each purchase. We offer free shipping on all our orders, with no minimum spend required (excluding certain regions, due to import and taxation fees*). Products are sent out from Italy using DHL or UPS, and each order is fully trackable. Our free shipping times vary and cannot be guaranteed, however, we also offer faster and more secure shipping options at an additional cost with express courier services.

*Please note: Unfortunately, certain countries require import/export duties and taxes, so we cannot offer free shipping to those regions. Furthermore, due to BREXIT and changes to export/import taxation regulation, our United Kingdom customers require a minimum spend of €160.00.
